Qur'an & Deen

The complete Islamic studies programme — the Maktab. Eight subjects, structured across Pre-Madrasah through Grade 7. For families who want their children grounded in Qur'an and the sciences of deen, without the full academic track.

What they'll study

The Curriculum

Qur'an & Surahs

  • Progressive Qur’an reading — from Yassarnal Qur’an through to completing all 30 paras by Grade 7
  • Surah memorisation — from Surah Faatiha and the short surahs through Surah Yaseen and Surah Mulk
  • Tajwid — rules of recitation applied from the very beginning

Akhlaaq & Daily Practice

  • 40 Ahadith — studied across the programme with stories, lessons, and real-life application. Topics include truthfulness, kindness, gratitude, modesty, and taqwa
  • Over 100 essential duas — for every occasion: eating, sleeping, travel, entering the masjid, wearing clothes, and more
  • Practical worship — hands-on training in wudhu, salaah, ghusl, azaan, Eid salaah, and Janazah salaah
  • Adaab & Sunnats — etiquettes of eating, sleeping, the home, the masjid, and gatherings. Over 100 sunnats revised by Grade 7

Islamic Knowledge

  • Fiqh — from basic rulings on cleanliness and salaah through to fasting, zakaat, Hajj, and halaal and haraam
  • Aqaaid — core beliefs, the pillars of faith, qualities of Allah Ta’ala, angels, divine books, and signs of Qiyaamah
  • Seerah & Islamic History — the complete life of the Prophet (SAW), from birth through to the Khulafa ar-Rashideen. Studied in depth across Grades 3-7
Pre-Madrasah through Grade 7: The programme follows a structured progression. Children begin with the Stepping Stones foundation and advance through seven grades, each building on the last. The full syllabus is shared with registered families.

As children approach adolescence, the curriculum addresses what other programmes avoid. Gender-specific modules taught with sensitivity and Islamic grounding.

Tuhfatul Banaat (Girls)

  • Haidh and buloogh — Islamic rulings explained with care
  • Modesty, dignity, and confidence as a Muslim woman
  • Navigating challenges of adolescence with faith

Tuhfatush Shabaab (Boys)

  • Puberty, cleanliness, and physical wellbeing in Islam
  • Discipline, fitness, and avoiding forbidden content
  • Responsibility, work ethic, and preparing for manhood
